Creative DIY Electronics Workshop – Northern Design Festival

As part of Attaya’s 10-days long showcase at B&D Studios during Design Event‘s Northern Design Festival, Teresa and Lalya held a free, hands-on, DIY creative technologies workshop at B&D Studios, where participants were invited to explore the intersection of electronics, design and traditional craft, during one afternoon: they learned how to make interactive objects, such as vegetable-based game-controllers, light-reacting sound garments, and loudspeakers made out of cereal boxes.
No prior technical skills or craft experience were required, and anyone aged 8+ was welcome. Tools, technology and materials were all provided, but someone practiced a craft/art-form or had a material they wished to use, they could bring them along with their tools.
